Health Science Pathway
Are you a compassionate person who works well under pressure?
In this program, students sharpen their knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, infection control, safety, and pharmacology. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice your skills in the classroom and on patients in a clinical setting before having the opportunity to test for the CNA and phlebotomy licenses at no cost.
Skills you'll learn
Phlebotomy
Learn venipuncture procedures for blood draws as well as specimen preparation.
Pharmacology
Gain knowledge on how natural and synthetic chemical agents affect biological systems.
Medical terminology
Learn the prefixes, suffixes, and word roots of medical terminology to more easily navigate any medical field.
Educational outcomes
- After completing the program, students will be certified as a CNA and phlebotomist
- Students can move on to a 2- or 4-year degrees in Paramedic & EMT, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or become a CMA
